I've been in contact with the author of Heatwave, and he gave permission for the downloads to be hosted on Media Center Guides. I've attached both the 32-bit and 64-bit installers to the page. Enjoy.
Just my $0.02.
The website listed doesnt work anymore. You can now get the app here http://www.mediafire.com/file/2indeit2jhm/Heatwave.Win32.1.1.0.0.msi
OK i installed it and i get nothin in VCE whta else am i suppoosed to do please?
During the setup there is a "Show on Start Menu" option, as well as a "Include in News + Sports" option; if those had the boxes checked, then it should show up in those locations.
Media Center (in Windows Vista) can only have 2 additional custom menu strips on the main menu, so if you already have several custom applications, it could be that you have reached this limit.
No matter how you installed it, you should be able to see it under the "Program Library" (under the "Online Media" strip from the main menu).
If you want to add it back to the main menu, you should be able to go to "Tasks > Settings > General > Program Library Options > Edit Start Menu" Then check the box for "Weather."
Just my $0.02.

Lots of people love this app. I wish it would work for me. Every setup screen hangs VMCi for 1-2 minutes, and clicking on the Shoutcast link only manages to bring up some category folder icons before hanging indefinitely.
That certainly doesn't sound normal. I have installed mcShoutCast on several computers, and have never run into that issue (both 32bit & 64bit). I would say something went wrong with the install. I would uninstall & reinstall the application and see if that works. Also are you running Vista or 7?

I love ngRC, possibly the best add on to my media center so far.
I am using it with an Eee PC 901 which I have modified to include a touchscreen, ngRC is perfect as it allows you to browse and que up your music collection without turning on the TV screen.
ngRC has been optimised for small touch screen devices such as the i-phone or PSP, so on my 9' screen the interface was a little small (though worked perfectly)
I tweaked the code for the front end to make a larger version I have dubbed Eee RC

This app was developed in Australia by Niall. It was designed to Process data from the Australian Beauro of meteorology but has been adapted for Global Weather stats too.
It is the most accurate weather app for Aussies. The GUI is a bit sore on the eyes. Kind of hard to detect where your selector is on the screen when navigating buttons.
I believe registration is for 2 years only. It is a renewable license.
If you are a serial remote clicker, this plugin is great for passing the time when the Commercials are on the TV.
